Once the child is no longer a baby, you have to separate it from its teddy.” That evening, Anthony’s mother, influenced by these words, explains to Anthony that he must grow up now. She takes Woofy away to store him at the top of her laundry cupboard. “It’s for your own good, darling”. Anthony is shattered. Luckily, Woofy has an idea : they have to prove to Mummy that, where teddies are concerned, it’s up to the children to decide.
