He was inspired by Brigitte to write Juliette, his heroine, and chose a small, little-known village on the shores of the Mediterranean as the setting: Saint-Tropez. He also chooses a 20-year-old actor to play Michel, his cursed lover. Jean-Louis Trintignant is an austere and introverted boy. He is married, loves great texts and classical music. Brigitte is not thrilled by this icy partner and so far from her. But, under the eyes of the whole team, and of Vadim behind his camera, an insidious attraction takes place between the two young people.
