Margherita Taylor goes for a wintry walk alongside the River Lea. On her journey, Margherita meets historian Dr Jim Lewis, who describes its history from the ice ages to the present day. A stop at the UK's oldest angling club reveals what happens on the river out of season, and a short detour finds Margherita at Lee Valley Park, where she meets Cath Patrick, a conservation manager who tells her about some of the beautiful wildlife that calls this area home. Along the way, Margherita will plunge into the archives to look back at other wintry outings enjoyed by the team over the years.
