He killed him to show he was innocent and deceived LOK by false pretence. Finally, LOK believed him. LAM JOE tried to distract LOK's attention by providing more chances to meet SHI MAY, so as to improve their relation. When the police advocated anti-corruption, WAH BILL was be charged of bribery, which was even publicized by press.
