Separated from his wife and estranged from his daughter, his life is still far from empty. The colourful town of Kilburn has taken him to its heart as their local sheriff. His life is disrupted, however, with the arrival from Ireland of the lovely Bernadette, who hires McCready to track down her brother, Gerry. During this, he attempts reconciliation with his daughter Clare.
