She has been a fan of Gary Allan's from the very beginning and considers herself to be his ""ultimate fan."" Thanks to Infinity radio station KPLX in Dallas, Shelly became a winner of their contest and found out the exciting news while having dinner at a restaurant. She spent New Year's Eve helping prepare for Gary Allan's New Year's Eve concert. She assisted with the soundcheck, the meet and greet, merchandising and guitar teching. Shelly also went boot shopping with Gary, had a one-on-one interview with him, helped introduce his show and assisted Gary on stage as his guitar tech.
