And on the Back Page, Tucker engages Charles Noble, author of The Collapse of Liberalism: Why America Needs a New Left, who argues that Democrats continue to lose elections because they don't offer their voters more principled alternatives. Borrowing from Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan, Noble contends that a successful left has to first believe in its own ideas.
