The diary describes where to find a list of a dozen Nazi war criminals that remained anonymous. That list is on the back of a Matisse painting of Suzie Simone. Wally wants Al to steal this painting before Kraus does but it is in Suzie's cafe basement protected by the Wexler alarm system, the best there is, and outside of his father, Al doesn't know anybody who ever beat it.
