It is claimed that during routine heart surgery, he performed a risky heart transplant on patient Eric Maple, who died during the operation. Dr Saul insists that he secured permission to carry out the transplant from the patient before the operation but Mr Maples' wife is adamant that this is not true. Another surgeon at Bellsides hospital claims that Dr Saul only carried out the unnecessary transplant to make a name for himself in the world of surgery.
