One of his presents is delivered by a hologram of his father. The hologram instructs Bunji that he is ready for the next step in his path to enlightenment, and that he must travel alone to visit the Temple of the Masters in the Himalayas. His test is to become one with the Ruby Obelisk, a source of powerful psionic power, however, he must ignore the temptation the obelisk offers.
