Hertenkamp is not a comedy, not a drama, not a soap, not camp, not a reality tv show. But it also is. Who are the residents of Villa Hertenkamp? Max, single and ex-husband of TV presenter Patty, is unemployed and depressed. His small and big fears keep him confined to his home. Actress Grace lives for her work and does not spare her life partner Patty from her strong character. To keep her emotions in control, Patty is assisted by her driving instructor Willemien. The couple Eva and Wiebe start a spiritual centre in a wing of the villa. For Patty and Grace it is a stain on Hertenkamp. One of the students, Wies, enters into a relationship with Wiebe. Eva enters into a relationship with spirituality in her own way. Wiebe and Eva's son Toto, partly due to his relationship with Anne-Claire, is heading in a direction that his parents have do not like.
