Ravan refuses to believe it. He rushes to the man who brought the news with his sword drawn. Malayvan stops him. When Mandodari comes and laments over her son's death, the truth dawns on Ravan. Shri Ram congratulates Lakshman and tells Hanuman to leave Indrajit's body body at the gate of Lanka with due respect.
