Chacha and Hatsu are unable to accept Katsuie as their new father, while Gou feels awkward about having a father for the first time. Feeling frustrated, Gou runs off on a horse, but is caught in a storm. Although Gou safely returns to the castle on the following morning, Katsuie sternly rebukes her. Meanwhile, Hideyoshi starts preparing for the war against Katsuie.
