The story repeated itself less than a hundred years later - reviewers criticized the show's creators for debt, composition errors and the superficiality of the entire story, but more than 70 percent of adult viewers watched it. "I tried to create an epic picture of bygone times, without any additions of meanings that Sienkiewicz does not have" - the director replied.
