Meanwhile, on Krill-Fireng, a Psionic Devourer (a creature which steals people's memories) escapes from the laboratories where it was created, and stows-away on a ship bound for Xanthos. Once free on the planet, the Devourer attacks Roberta and steals her memory. Malo attempts to retrieve it.
