This was the case with the LGBTQ community, African-Americans, Native Americans, overweight people, etc. And all this was thanks to the struggle of individuals who have risen against the atrocities committed in the past. Thankfully no one is fighting for the rights of the monsters and the freaks that were once in the core of a nuclear explosion, so we can still laugh at them. (Probably because they died a short time after)
