On New Year's Eve, a friend of Yuri, Denis, begs Yuri to take over his job - being dressed up as "Grandpa Frost". Yuri only agrees because Denis assures him that he will have almost nothing to do - Vika, his colleague will do everything. However, things go awry on the very first working day, and the newly inducted "Grandpa Frost" has to get out of a difficult situation on his own. Unexpectedly for everyone, and especially for himself, Yuri copes with this and other problems perfectly, which marks the beginning of a successful friendship between Vika, "The Snow Maiden" and Yuri, "Grandpa Frost."
