Xu Lai's mother calls her and tells her to find a partner with a healthy body. Jin Shi Chuan uses the opportunity to tell Xu Lai that he needs a traditional woman who can tend to the house and that Xu Lai isn't it. He hopes that he and Xu Lai can cool down for the moment and rethink their relationship. Xu Lai is enraged. However, she regains her confidence after Han Fang's consolation. She decides to reconcile with Jin Shi Chuan.
