The man then pretends to mug Jerry and threatens to throw acid in Laura's face if she doesn't leave Chicago. Laura refuses to go, but Sam wants to close the show. Frank says he thinks that would be premature. Meanwhile, the mugger puts pressure on Jerry, who wants the theatre for part of a property deal.
