Soon after, he finds Blackwood's black chain. Then after going outside, he finds Petofi's glases. Charles Tate comes in and is angered to see his studio burned down. He sees Barnabas and accuses him of destroying it. Barnabas tells him about the struggle between Petofi and Blackwood. He also tells him that the portrait of Quentin burned down as well. Charles admits to Barnabas that he stole the portrait because he believed it would help him against Quentin. Barnabas begs him to paint another portrait so that Quentin will not be threatened by the werewolf curse. Charles tells Barnabas that he will. Meanwhile, Kitty is still tormented by the mind of Josette. She tells Judith that she's leaving Collinwood so that she won't burden them any longer. Judith tries to convince her to stay, especially since Edward wants to marry Kitty. Ki
