Kaiser scored on an 80-yard return in the second quarter, and Gouveia had a 100-yarder in the third quarter. The victory left Las Vegas as one of only two XFL teams undefeated through the first two weeks. Orlando is the other. The two teams traded first-quarter field goals, a 47-yarder by the Outlaws' Paul McCallum and a 23-yarder by Jeff Hall. On the first play of the second quarter, the Maniax had the ball at the Las Vegas 20. But a bad handoff by Beau Morgan was picked up by Kaiser, who returned it for a 9-3 lead. With Memphis down by six early in the third quarter, Rashaan Salaam appeared to go over for a tying 8-yard touchdown run, but fumbled at the goal line.
