Nate Tully is the town's gossip, and claims to not know a thing about the gang's whereabouts, but he is actually their ringleader. When Gene and Pat go to talk with Grandpa Dekker, he captures them, thinking their claimjumpers. His grandson lets them go though. Gene and Pat investigate Grandpa s mine, only to find they're almost ambushed by one of Mack's men. The outlaws capture Gene and the grandson, and knock grandpa unconscious. Amazingly, when Pat arrives, he is able to round up the outlaws and bring them in. As it turns out, Grandpa's mine is rich in copper.
