The charge is dismissed in court but the case proves to Vic that he still has a useful role in the police force. He decides against retiring. Pressure from Felicity forces Godfrey to admit that Gerard is his first wife's bastard son. The conflict between Felicity and Gerard escalates until Felicity once more, confronts Godfrey, only to be deflected again.
