MiniPato, or Mobile Police Patlabor Minimum, aired in June of 2003 and was a mini-series based off of the popular Anime series, Patlabor. Although based off of Patlabor, the series itself was a parody of Patlabor, which gave the show it's lack of seriousness. The show featured a special kind of animation called, Digital Paper Puppet Animation, which is a special type of animation that makes it seem as if they are actually puppets. This made the show out to be even more of a joke. Unfortunetly, Media Concepts (producers), only produced three episodes before its cancellation in July of 2003. The three episodes can be ordered on DVD as imports from Japan.
