Farina scoffs at his mother's warning that the devil will get him if he doesn't do his work. Meanwhile, a man dressed in a devil costume (for advertising purposes) overhears the kids and decides to scare the daylights out of them. This works quite well, and the kids work so frenetically that their mothers think they've gone out of their minds.
