Meanwhile, Al passes the time gambling with the prince, and teaches him the finer points of losing. Al discovers that Fong Sing has switched the idol that represents the prince's power with a fake, and plans to blame the U.S. for its theft, so Al must switch the fake back for the original, without his knowing.
