As the children set up a picnic, they all notice that Sharla has become a much stronger person than she used to be, and conversation quickly turns to everyone's parents. Luna, however, as the only one of the human children who is an orphan, becomes saddened by the conversation, and Bell notices. As the children plan their route, they decide to spend the day replenishing their supplies. Suddenly, an earthquake occurs.
