Revel and Rousseau, put on the case, fear that, pushed to the limit, Stéphane has kidnapped them himself, perhaps even murdered in a moment of bewilderment. But soon, a demand for ransom reaches the grieving father and husband. The kidnapping appears to have been orchestrated by people determined to secure a large sum of money from the one they believe to be millions rich. The situation is straining.
