Mais Jungo's back where he's born, meets his old friends, the monkeys Zik and Zak, but Rita doesn't feel welcome. The place is full of unknown dangers too, but Jungo tries to make her believe that "The Spirit of the Jungle" makes sure that most animals help each other to survive. A newcomer, the jaguar Sharpclaws, is a perilous disturber of peace. Jungo develops his "Spirit of the Jungle"-idea, and gathers all his friends to carry out a sly, masterly trick that chases Sharpclaws away, convinced about the danger of "The Spirit". Rita's beginning to feel she's among friends...
