A hundred years after the first successful South Pole expedition by Roald Amundsen and Robert Falcon Scott, there is a German-Austrian race to the southern end of the world. In addition to Markus Lanz, extreme athlete Joey Kelly, marathon runner Claudia Beitsch and triathlete Dennis Lehnert compete for the German team. For Austrian ski ace Hermann Maier, presenter Tom Walek, soldier Sabrina Grillitsch and dog sled pro Alex Serdjukov. Will they manage to get their food and equipment to their destination 400 kilometers at minus 40 degrees on foot? Three episodes outline the great adventure.
