When Mei goes off to look for a four-leaf clover to give to Gabu, Kuro comes by to help her find one. Gabu happens to pass by and sees Mei with Kuro. Later when they meet, Mei sees Kuro on his way back home, and she runs over to say goodbye, Gabu Thinks that Mei would rather be with Kuro and tells her that they shouldn't see each other anymore because she would be happier with her own kind.
