To discuss this tragic story and racism in medicine, I’ve invited Dr. Kadijah Ray, a pediatric anesthesiologist and founder of the Facebook group “Physician Woman SOAR”. Dr. Ray and I talked about patient advocacy, the barriers preventing people of color from getting into medicine, the history of racism in medicine, and how we can prevent tragedies like Dr. Moore’s from happening again.
