Maetel reveals that the Harlock ruling the castle is not the real Harlock, putting some doubt in Leryuzu's mind. Leryuzu confronts the fake Harlock, then destroys the Time Castle, the fake Harlock and herself. Tetsuro realizes that the caped mystery man was the real Captain Harlock, and he sees the Arcadia take off from the planet.
