He shows off the mangalsutra Sanyukta had given to Monikangana to hurt her and tells her that Sanyukta will never accept her as her daughter-in-law. Tejal believes his lies and accuses Sanyukta of pre-planning Shashwat's wedding and refuses to perform the homecoming ritual.
