Shuji enjoys comedy programs and works for a TV station. He has been recently reassigned from production to sales, but he still keeps a smile on his face at work. One day, Shuji is diagnosed with a terminal disease. The doctor informs Shuji that he has only 6 months left to live. Shuji wonders what he can do to keep a smile on the face of his wife Ayako and his son. Shuji concludes that he has to find a person to protect his family instead of him.
