Cora told Helen that Mike is trying to get her sent to prison. Helen arrested Cora and took her to Mike. Mike wanted to release Cora, but Parmalee had Cora followed too and ordered Mike to book her. Mike pleaded Cora's case at the bail hearing, but the judge ruled that Cora be remanded into custody until the murder trial. As Cora was being locked up, Mike suggested that she face her fears for once and use her confinement as a strengthening experience. Cora collapsed in her cell and begged God to her help her.
