Mais Mark becomes one of the first people to try out a new machine called the Future Box, which tells his possible future. He is told not to meddle with the future because he will end up stuck there if he wants to stay there forever. Unfortunately, he makes contact with his older self and gets stuck in the future, and unable to get out because of his longing to stay. Outside of the future, Song Li, Mary, Prof. Powers and Prof. Dixon discover that Mark is going through troubles because his pulse is going out of control. Song Li must get into Mark's future to stop the future from crashing down and destroying the younger Mark.
