Ultimately, though, the kids' curiousity gets the better of them, and they realize that it would've been a lot less trouble just to wait. B.) A hot-air balloon, piloted by expert navigator Merriwether von Weasel, accidentally manages to get stuck in a tree near Lake Hoohaw. Unaware that it's just a balloon, the kids begin to think that it's actually some kind of...flying elephant?
