Mike jokingly tells Lucy that if she's ever short of money just to give him a call. Eileen tells him that he's not welcome in their home. Eileen apologises to Lucy, she tells her that she was never meant to find out and that she only did it for her. Eileen says that it started when she, Lucy and Charlotte had just had a visit from the bailiffs. They were left with nothing - she had no other choice. It went on for 3 months. Lucy begins to understand that her mother only did it out of love for her family. She asks her to consider Pete's offer and start seeing him again . . . Doug, Cat and Davie come back to the pub after the fireworks. Pete takes Davie round the back to watch videos with some of the other kids. Sadie gives Cat a filthy look.
