Worse than the shock of the fact is that the hard-saved money was stolen for his cruise with Anna Springer. But Wilsberg falls on deaf ears at the burglary department. Criminal commissioner Overbeck is currently not doing well either. He happens to witness an assault and steps in. Unfortunately, he arrests the wrong man, loses his service pistol and not only reaps the derision of his colleagues, but also a disciplinary procedure. After an internal crisis discussion with crime counsel Schaaf, his boss Anna Springer and staff councilor Susanna Havenstein, the events overturn. Overbeck meets his old acquaintance "Ugly Joe" Sundermann and considers entering the security company as a bodyguard. But then Susanna Havenstein is found dead - murdered.
