He is married to his childhood sweetheart Silvia and works as a salesman in a small electronics store. Service is still very important to him, and he sometimes repairs electrical appliances as a gesture of goodwill, much to the chagrin of his boss. But Rüdiger's normal life changes abruptly when he is discovered by chance on the street for a commercial. Suddenly Rüdiger is what almost everyone wants to be these days: famous. And suddenly everything is different: Rüdiger's ambitious sales colleague Jürgen desperately wants to become his manager, his wife would like to have a new car, and the advertising agency expects full commitment from him. It's really only a matter of time before Rüdiger is thrown completely off track...
