A southern gospel singer picking up the pieces from a divorce, a kids' birthday party entertainer, and a longshoreman who likes to party compete to get their cakes on supermarket shelves across the country. After receiving advice from the mentors, the cooks head into the kitchen to revamp their recipes in only 90 minutes. As the tension heats up in the kitchen, one cook discovers that while he likes his cognac cake to be a dessert and drink in one, not everyone wants to get buzzed! After reformatting their recipes, the cooks' dishes are presented to a focus group of newlyweds who decide which cakes really rise to the occasion.
