Mais As Tommy's election campaign enters the final phase, Jay Donnegan tries to blackmail Tommy into promising future support for illegal business deals. When this threatens to become public knowledge, Tommy's confidence falters. He gets drunk and talks of pulling out of the campaign. Jennifer presses Donnegan for the information which she believes is going to clear Bill's name. She also meets James Dolman, one of Tommy's competitors, and is impressed by his honesty and policies.
